Celebrate with a Winner!
There is cause for celebration for De Bortoli Wines with the Noble One 2016 vintage named in the prestigious Decanter New World Top 10 Sweet Wines. This adds to its collection of over 150 trophies and 465 gold medals awarded throughout its 30 year history. Of the 10 wines selected from around the world, Noble One is the only Botrytis Semillion and one of just two Australian wines recognised.
De Bortoli Wines’ Noble One is truly one of the sweetest success stories in Australian winemaking history. Developed by Darren De Bortoli in 1982, this luxuriously sweet Botrytis Semillon is one of the world’s most awarded wines. Darren pioneered the production of this variety in Australia and more than three decades on, it continues to set the benchmark for Botrytis wines.
Darren De Bortoli commented on Noble One’s most recent honour saying, “Noble One has been winning hearts and palates for three decades and this latest recognition continues to reinforce Noble One as Australia’s benchmark for sweet white wine.”
Whether it's the perfect ending to a home made meal, accompaniment to a decadent cheese plater or a celebratory drink to mark an occasion, Nobile One pairs perfectly. So how did I enjoy this drop? In a whiskey glass on the rocks! During the cooler months I prefer it straight as it provides a lovely warming sensation.
De Bortoli Noble One 750ml AUD 79. Noble One is available in major retail bottle shops and online.
