Review: Aramis Tobacco Reserve Eau de Parfum
Autumn has arrived but while the crisp chill may not have kicked, it’s still as good of a time as any to start introducing those warming woods and hints of spice into your fragrance collection. Think aromatic and striking accords combined with green herbs, like the latest scent for men by Aramis Tobacco Reserve.
Name: Aramis Tobacco Reserve Eau de parfum
Notes: Clary sage, Cassis, Nutmeg, Orris, Tobacco Leaf, Tonka bean and Oak Moss fragrance
Described as: Alluring, sophisticated and complex, this fragrance takes inspiration from the finest tobacco from Havana. The scent itself is rich, bold and indulgent while remaining modern and masculine just like the gentleman who dares to bare this scent
Wear it: I find this fragrance to be incredibly versatile and can be worn both day and night. I enjoy wearing it to work when I’m slightly dressed up and there’s a chill in the air, or in the evenings when I’m heading out for dinner, coffee or a catch-up with friends. I recommend this fragrance for dressed up occasions or when you need to leave a lasting impression.
Price: Aramis Tobacco Reserve Eau de Parfum 110ml $125. Available now from selected Myer, David Jones and pharmacy stores.
The verdict: While I enjoy a good hit of spice in my fragrances I will admit this scent is not for everyone. It will be best enjoyed by a gentleman over the age of 30 who’s travelled, has a refined sense of smell and enjoys the finer things in life. This scent really has me written all over it and will be one of my staples this Autumn/ Winter for sure.
