Blood Orange Delights this Spring
Take a page (or an orange) from the Sicilian’s book and refresh your senses this spring with a zesty blood orange cocktail. Solerno, the world’s first blood orange liqueur has partnered with Sydney based Italian restaurant Capriccio Osteria to create an immersive Sicilian experience to celebrate the blood orange season ‘Celebrazione dell’Arancia.'
Until the 18 November 2017, patrons of Capriccio Osteria can indulge in five specialised cocktails which highlight the taste and versatility of Solerno and Redbelly Citrus oranges. Capriccio Osteria’s Head Chef, Nicole Bampton has also released a new seasonal menu to complement each cocktail, showcasing the use of blood oranges with food such as black olives, scallops, and fish.
Capriccio Osteria guests will be transported to Sicily with a selection of mouth-watering dishes and the restaurant's Tuscan style courtyard, allowing guests to dine outdoors and bask in the season's balmy weather. Diners can choose from the following Solerno cocktails:
Solerno Serata: the brands signature cocktail which combines ruby red grapefruit juice, bitters, soda and topped with a slice of blood orange and garnished with a sprig of rosemary.
Sicilian 75: a mix of freshly squeezed lemon and blood orange juice topped with prosecco and garnished with lavender
Solernoni: Solerno’s twist on the Italian classic the Negroni
