Hayman's Gin this Spring!
There's nothing more refreshing than a gin and tonic on a hot summer's day. This is how my love affair with gin began - on a summer holiday in Thailand. While gin isn’t a spirit I would consider trendy – more of a staple – this renowned English spirit is having its moment in the limelight yet again.
Just in time for spring, Hayman’s Gin; England’s longest-serving Gin distilling family is bringing its traditional English gin to Australian shores in a way that will bring together foodies and gin enthusiast alike. Partnering with Woollahra’s Lord Dudley hotel, the duo has created the ‘Hayman’s Gin Supper Club’ which will be serving a unique food and gin pairing for the entire month of October. Set in the Lord Dudley’s newly renovated Garden restaurant, guests will be treated to a specialty selection of Gin cocktails paired with mouth-watering dishes in a whimsical English garden setting.
Diners will have the chance to try Hayman’s Gin award-winning range and discover how versatile gin can be. Pairings include lamb roast with a Sloe and tonic and pork and veal terrine with a Negroni with prices starting from $25 for a starter and cocktail.

I was fortunate enough to try the entire menu along with the matching cocktails and let me say it’s all superb. A few of my favorites were the Pork & Val Country Terrine and the Mirrool Creek Lamb Rump. The cocktails you have to try are the Hayman’s Negroni which has a nice bitter punch while the Hayman’s Mediterranean Spritz is refreshing and perfect for spring.
