The Missing Act: A Well Received Blend
When It comes to wine by no means am I an expert, but I know what I like. In winter, I can’t go past a vibrant red when I’m at home indulging in my favourite TV shows or enjoying a Sunday roast. De Bortoli Wines recently introduced a new addition to its La Boheme collection which consists of a Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir Rose, Syrah, and most recently ‘The Missing Act’ a Cabernet blend. Produced in Victoria's Yarra Valley, these wines are delicious and present exceptional value for money.
'The Missing Act’Cabernet & Friend combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese and has been created using a 'whole bunch' or 'whole cluster' approach. How this differs from traditional wine making methods is instead of separating the grapes and stems, both are used in the fermentation process. This provides this Cabernet blend its richness, balance and gentle tannins. On the palate, this modern and fresh wine tastes of cherries, plums, liquorice and rosemary.
La Boheme The Missing Act Cabernet & Friend pairs perfectly with share plates or tapas-style food, and as with most red wines, it's a match made in heaven with red meat. This blend is a great casual wine which can be enjoyed with friends at your next dinner party, or on your own in front of a fire while catching up on your TV viewing.
